Appen or TELUS Digital: which AI work application fits you?

Appen now recruits contributors through CrowdGen, while TELUS Digital lists AI Community openings by role, language, and location. Neither is an instant-access task board. The useful choice starts with whether a current project or opening matches your location and skills, then the qualification steps attached to that work.

Appen uses CrowdGen projects and contributor matching

CrowdGen says new contributors create an account, provide experience details, get verified, and qualify for projects matched to their expertise. Its official guidance says most projects have a qualification process, and accepted contributors set up a payment method in the CrowdGen dashboard before receiving earnings.

TELUS Digital starts with a specific AI Community opening

TELUS Digital publishes an AI Community job list with openings tied to particular countries, languages, and task types. Its official application flow includes role-specific qualification, compliance checks, identity verification, and onboarding, so eligibility for one listing should not be assumed for another.

A useful way to decide

Check both official listings for work that matches your real location, language, and experience. CrowdGen is the clearer first stop when one of its listed projects matches your expertise. TELUS Digital is the clearer first stop when its AI Community has a role specifically open for your market and language. If both have a genuine match, applying to both can diversify your pipeline, but neither application guarantees qualification, available tasks, hours, or earnings.
